FAQ's

We are here to help

IN ORDER TO PROVIDE TIMELY AND EFFICIENT PATIENT CARE, AND KEEP OUR FEES AS LOW AS POSSIBLE, WE EMPLOY THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES.

  • Can I pay my bill online?

Be sure to use clinic for payment information.

  • What happens if I no show for an appointment?

Missed appointments without prior notification are considered no show appointments. In the event of the first and second no shows, you will receive a letter advising you of the no shows. In the event of three no shows or missed appointments, Grand Island Clinic will no longer provide patient care services. The patient will be discharged from the practice. To avoid a $40.00 no show fee, scheduled appointments need to be cancelled at least 4 hours prior to appointment for Pediatrics and 24 hours prior to appointment for Family Medicine and OBGYN.

  • What happens if I am going to be late?

Late arrival for a scheduled appointment leads to inadequate time to accommodate the remaining patients on the schedule. As such, late arrivals of greater than 15 minutes may be required to reschedule. In addition, those patients who are on the schedule and here at the assigned time will be seen first. We will try to accommodate late appointments if time permits.

  • What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?

Cancellations of appointments with less than 4 hours notice for Pediatrics and less than 24 hours notice for Family Medicine and OBGYN are consider no shows, which result in a $40.00 fee. We are aware that from time to time unforeseen circumstances may necessitate the cancellation of an appointment; however, a pattern of repetitive scheduling followed by cancellation will be treated as no shows. Late cancellation of appointments may prohibit other patients from being seen in a timely fashion. We will provide a reminder call or text 1 day & 6 days prior to routine appointments. If we are unable to reach you in person, we will leave a message.

  • What do I need to pay?

Grand Island Clinic requires co-pay at the time of service. It is your responsibility to be aware of the limits of your insurance benefits. You will be responsible for your portion of the visit the day of your appointment. If requests for payments fail to settle an overdue balance, your account will be referred to a collection agency.  If you are unable to pay your self-pay balance in full, please call Patient Accounts to discuss payment arrangements.  Generally, monthly payment will be 10% of your account balance until paid in full.

  • What if I am a minor under the age of 18?

Patients who are 18 years old, or younger, must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian. If not, the parent must give written or verbal consent to the clinic for person accompanying on their behalf.

  • Who do I call for prescription refills?

Call your preferred pharmacy for refill requests. If refill authorization is needed, the pharmacy will contact your physician electronically. Prescription refills are addressed during office hours only.
